No words are needed to describe just how amazing Dan's transformation has been!
Dan has said goodbye to OVER 20kgs & dozens of centimetres but most importantly a complete lifestyle change has been made. Dan & his gorgeous wife Sonia have teamed up to take the journey towards a healthier, fitter & happier lifestyle for not only themselves but their three adorable sons.
Dan has got to be one of the most consistent, hard working people I have seen to date - who once sets a goal must achieve it - no excuses. Not only does Dan give 110% in his personal training sessions but he also dedicates himself completely to pushing himself just as hard when he trains alone. Dan travels a lot with work & their is never a week where I don't receive an update. He never allows this to be a reason to not nail his macros or training requirements. I truly believe that Dan has changed his attitude towards health & fitness because it is a flexible & sustainable approach that allows for "life" to continue normally (whatever that may entail) and still achieve awesome results. The notion of "metabolic conditioning" lets you enjoy all the little things - friends, family, holidays, travelling - without taking several steps back in your weightloss/fitness/health journey.
Dan is a testament to the notion "YOU GET OUT WHAT YOU PUT IN". Dan you deserve to be recognised for all the hard yards you have put in throughout 2015 - awesome work & keep your eyes peeled for his amazing wife's pictures in the near future!
20kgs and 60+centimetres GONE FOREVER!
I cannot express just how proud and impressed I am by this gorgeous girl. Eloise has lost an astounding 20kgs, 23cm off her waist & 17cm off her hips - not too mention the rest of her body! Eloise began "reverse dieting" - increasing her calories (under my provision) back at the beginning of April. This is when Elle really knuckled down and proved just how effective, sustainable and flexible this approach to Nutrition can be.
Eloise has been almost perfect in tracking for the last 4 months, religiously updating me every Sunday & absolutely nailing her training week in, week out. Throughout this journey Elle has never turned down a social event - why should she when she can simply account for an indulgent meal or two and still achieve incredible results? Through incorporating both resistance & HIIT training into her schedule she has lost an immense amount of body fat & increased her lean muscle mass hugely - evident in her change in body shape (less cellulite, trimmer figure, etc).
This is a testament to the misguided notion that lifting heavy makes you "big & bulky" - rather, it makes you trim & toned! I could go on for days about Eloise's hard work, dedication & perseverance but the photo speaks for itself! Elle I am so proud to have you as part of our JBPT family - you are inspiration to not only many clients but myself also! Keep it up & I can't wait for what's to come.
Megan's Inspiring Transformation - close to 20kgs GONE forever!
This has to be one of the most inspiring transformations I have personally seen because there has been so many facets that have changed in Megan's life! Not only does Megan look absolutely amazing - but she has dealt with anxiety and immense self doubt through hooking into a healthy and fit lifestyle!
This journey has definately had its speed bumps & hurdles along the way - working with a very weak metabolism is not easy but through persevering & taking the slower, more sustainable approach Megan has proven how effective resistance training & tracking macros can be! Megan has consistently chipped away over a period of time to bring her body weight down and most importantly see a massive shift from a high body fat percentage to a much higher lean muscle mass! Megan is 100x happier & has conquered her fear of hitting the gym by herself!
Megan has got stuck into Powerlifting over the last 6 months & her hard work is definately paying off! She has lost many centimetres off her body & an astonishing 20kgs since the beginning of her journey (as you can very clearly see in the picture). MOST IMPORTANTLY - she is far happier in herself!
Megan is a high achiever and perfectionist so still believes she is not finished her journey yet! So keep tuned for what's to come. So proud of you Meegy! Bring on even bigger and better things for the rest of 2015!

Bek is almost 10kg down after 10 weeks of training and flexible dieting. Bek is now eating more than she ever has and is losing weight! Through flexible nutritional coaching - Bek has realised that she can still enjoy those little things in life whilst still capable of achieving amazing fat & weight loss. Bek started her journey on reasonably low macros and we have INCREASED these whilst continuing to lose CMS - in total she is down 9kgs & over 20cms of her body. She is now lifting heavy twice a week in her PT sessions & does HIIT & Bootcamp for cardio.
Congrats Bek on your patience, consistency, hard work & trust in the process (often the hardest part)! Can't wait for the next instalment of progress photos!

Alicia has lost 8kgs through being consistent with her new nutrition plan and lifting heavy on her training program. Altering her mindset & jumping out of her "comfort zone" to chase a goal she had set a while ago. She is happier in herself & this is obvious in her attitude towards training & nutrition. She trains 1x a week with me & has learnt the importance of eating in moderation - still varied food sources - but not over indulging. This is what counting macros is all about! Learning the importance of variety and balance is the key to success. Again to reiterate - this is a PROGRESS PIC & I know Alicia has more in her! Very proud to put up a picture of not only a hard working client but one of my closest friends - COURTNEY! Court has put her trust in me to help her change her outlook on nutrition and training and consequently has had a massive change in body composition. Court is looking hot and has been consistently training with me 2 days a week (strength & HIIT) & is also tracking macros to encourage flexibility and variation in her nutrition plan.
Tracking macros has helped many clients stay focused and diligent when it comes to social events and enjoying food in general. No guilt trips, no binges - flexibility in her approach has been the key! Thankyou Court for letting me use your photos to help show my clients how important it is to trust in your trainer & commit to the process! Using the scales as a measure of success/failure is clearly not the only way to do so - Court has lost only a few kilos over the last few months - however - looks dramatically different! Leonie is a mum to 3 children under 4 - so time is a limited resource for her. Despite this Leonie trains 2x mornings a week with me at 5.45am so she can be home in time for the kids to wake up! Leonie began her journey mid 2014 and has completely altered her outlook on training and nutrition. When I first started working with Leonie, she was quite nervous and anxious when it came to "gym stuff". Now she rocks up full of beans ready for a thrashing.
Leonie lost her post-baby weight through nurturing & patiently working towards strengthening her metabolism. Consistency is the key, and I know Leonie will agree with the statement that the biggest emphasis in a weight loss journey that is sustainable long term is that it is a lifestyle change not just a quick fix. Jaime - My Story
The reason I am so passionate about my job is because I too have been through my own weight loss/fitness/health journey.
Growing up I had always been very active (hockey/athletics/training in general). Mum & Dad always ensured we ate well & adopted healthy living patterns. Once I finished school & lived more independently I fell into poor eating habits (mostly takeaway & junk food) & was obviously training/playing less sport. I tried several "fad diets" to budge the 20+kgs I had gained since finishing school, none of which were successful! I would lose 10kgs through starving myself/copious amounts of cardio but then gain it within half the time it took to lose.
Then I found an approach to nutrition which allowed me to be flexible whilst still accountable - tracking macros. As opposed to restricting calories/carbs/low fat diets I simply moderated my intake of ALL types of food. I still enjoyed treats like chocolate (my biggest indulgence) whilst ensuring I ate wholesome, nutrient dense foods as well. This "flexible" & sustainable approach to nutrition allowed me to achieve my best results to date with weight & fat loss!
I have lost over 20kgs & totally changed my body composition (I am still no where near where I want to be but because I have taken the time - although at times frustrating - to build and work on my once weak metabolism, I can continue to chip away at this through persevering and remaining accountable for how hard I work out in the gym & the level of consistency that I sustain with my nutrition.
Training consisted of 4-5 powerlifting sessions (squats/bench/deadlifts/accessories) & 2 HIIT sessions (as well as hockey 1x a week). When I trained hard I didn't want to then go home and undo all the hard work I had done all day (it was much easier knowing I could have a small sweet treat for desert to hit those cravings). Of course, like everyone, I wasn't perfect - one of the perks of strengthening your metabolism is that allows for mishaps every now and again!
